Requirements and Classification

Championship Target Requirements

A minimum of 300 ATA registered targets, per event, during 2010 & 2011 target years.

For shooters not meeting these target requirements, the following classification penalties will apply;

No less than B Class for singles & doubles and a minimum of 1 yard beyond their assigned handicap yardage.

 Friday’s targets will count towards these target requirements.

                                                   A   Class      94 and under 97

                                                   B   Class      91 and under 94

                                                   C   Class      88 and under 91

                                                   D   Class      under 88

 DOUBLES

                                                     AA Class     93 and over

                                                    A    Class     89 and under 93

                                                    B    Class     85 and under 89

                                                    C    Class    78 and under 85

                                                    D    Class    under 78

Other Requirements

 

All ties will be settled by shoot off – 25 targets for singles and handicap and 10 pair for doubles (2 pair per post).

Shooters and spectators assume all responsibilities for any and all accidents at this shoot.

The APTA President and the ATA delegate will act as a committee to rule on all disputes.

ATA and APTA awards will be presented for all championship (Saturday & Sunday) events. Visiting shooters from outside the Atlantic Provinces are eligible only for Non – Resident Championship prizes.

All prizes for events on Friday are open to all shooters.

Targets will be shot on all 4 fields.

Practice fields will open at noon on Thursday, September 1st, at a cost of $5.00 per round. (Obtain ticket from registration desk).

Pre-squadding is not required but encouraged.

The annual APTA meeting will be held following the doubles event on Sunday.
